Guatemala’s GAO fights climate change with rubber carbon credits

Grupo Agroindustrial de Occidente (GAO), a Guatemalan company, announced the first sale of carbon credits for natural rubber plantations.
The sale was secured by the Swiss company First Climate and Pica de Hule, a GAO company.
The project consists of 2,500 hectares of rubber-tree plantations that will mitigate climate change.
