Guatemala's IT and outsourcing create 3,000 jobs

Guatemala's Information technology and business process outsourcing sectors generated more than 3,000 jobs in 2013.

Both sectors generated exports worth $326 million last year, according to the country's export promotion agency, Agexport.

The current challenge, the agency says, is bolstering human resources by training people in mathematics, English and computer science.
