Guatemala sees boost in Dominican Republic trade

Bilateral trade between Guatemala and the Dominican Republic has grown at an average rate of 21 percent each year since a free trade accord between both countries took effect 12 years ago.
Guatemalan exports to the Caribbean country grew from $19 million in 2001 to $57 million last year.
In 2012, the Dominican Republic was Guatemala's thirteenth exports' destination, said Guatemalan Minister for Economy, Sergio de la Torre.
