Guatemala smokes pipe of peace in conflict with Nicaragua on meat imports

Guatemala lifted a ban on imports of meat from Nicaragua.
Officials in Guatemala have claimed that full inspections will in future ensure the quality of the meat. Importers, however, have yet to order the Nicaraguan meat.
Guatemala insisted that shipments of Nicaraguan meat was found to be contaminated by bacteria and pathogens.
