Guatemala tenders $120 million train project

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Guatemala's national agency for the development of economic infrastructure plans to tender a concession for line 1 of Guatemala City's passenger train in 2014.

The concession is currently worth $120 million, said the agency's director, Julio Estrada.

The 30 kilometer train line will run from the north to the south of the capital, using an existing rail line that has been out of service for the past ten years.
