Guatemala will host on November 4 an energy summit for the Mesoamerican region, the country's energy Minister Erick Archila said.
The one-day event aims to put Guatemala at the forefront of the energy industry, as well as attract investment.
Archila added that Guatemala will be the first Central American country to have a gas duct, a joint-project with Mexico that is expected to cost $800 million.
