Guatemala to produce maps including Belizean territory

According to reports from Channel 5 and Love FM, Guatemalan authorities are preparing to make maps that depict Belize as part of Guatemala ahead of the scheduled March 11 referendum in which Guatemalans will vote whether or not to take the long-standing territorial claim to the International Court of Justice.

According to Channel 5 News, the inclusion of Belize as part of Guatemala on their version of the map is a part of that country’s awareness campaign being undertaken in schools.
