Guatemalan coffee exports surge by almost 30 percent in the first two months of the current 2011-2012 harvest

Guatemala’s coffee exports registered 29.6 percent growth in October and November, the first two months of the current harvest, compared with the same period a year ago.
Sales came to 204,197 bags of 60 kilos each. In the same period a year earlier, they reached 157,537 bags.
In the last harvest, exports grew by 6 percent, to a total of 3.65 million bags.
