Guatemalan coffee shops are holding their own amid tough competition with Starbucks in Guatemala, survey shows

Five specialist coffee shops are competing strongly with Starbucks for the preferences of young consumers, a survey shows.

The survey, of young university students, showed that Café Barista was the favorite, followed by Café Saúl and Starbucks.

The conclusion is that Starbucks faced a strong, competitive market when it arrived in Guatemala in March of this year.
