Guatemala has some of the best coffee in the world, but for years its consumers drank very little and rather poor coffee.
Since 2004, however, things have changed. A coffee shop boom includes El Cafetalito, Café Barista, & Café, Café Gitane, McCafé. And Starbucks is on the horizon.
More than 100 coffee shops are to be found throughout Guatemala.
