Hard Rock Café Hotel among Panama tourism projects seeking labor
Monday, September 27, 2010
With 14 new hotels planned for Panama's Pacific beaches, there will be a growing demand for thousands of additional workers to service them, putting a strain on the hotel industry.
Panama’s Tourism Authority said that the hotel sector is one of the fastest growing employers in Panama, and the number of hotels expected to open in the next three years will mean a huge demand for workers.
An estimated 13,000 jobs will be generated by the projects. One of the largest, the Hard Rock Café Hotel in San Carlos, is expected to have 400 rooms on its 32-hectare site.
