Thursday, April 6, 2017

A heat wave is scorching a good portion of Central America, raising temperatures above 40C in some areas and spurring authorities to issue warnings of even higher readings.

Honduran authorities said on Tuesday that in the southern part of the country, where the heat is worst, there are reports of 40C temperatures, while in the north the thermometers hover between 34C and 38C during the daylight hours.
