Hilton Worldwide opens new hotel in Panama

Global hotel firm Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of its new 347-room Hilton Panama in the center of the country's capital city.

The opening coincides with the Panama Canal's 100th anniversary, and to mark the occasion the hotel will offer special prices of $99 per night, taxes not included, on weekends.

"This hotel represents our continued interest in Latin America," said Rob Palleschi, global director for brand services at Hilton Worldwide.
