Holland’s IHC wins $43 million contract for dredging of Panama Canal

The Panama Canal Authority granted a $43 million contract to Netherlands-based IHC Engineering Services for the design and manufacture of a dredger-excavator .

The dredger is needed for the broadening of the Canal.

IHC won a tender that included competitors such as Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries; De Donge Shipbuilding; Heli Steelstrong; Qinhuangdao China Harbour and Holland Shipyards.
