Honduran business leaders oppose new accord with Venezuela-led Petrocaribe

Friday, May 27, 2011

Business leader in Honduras say they appose plans for a new Petrocaribe oil accord, because it will not solve the country’s problems.

Santiago Ruiz, a prominent businessman, said that a new accord on the Venezuela-led pact would create the same problems that occurred when Manuel Zelaya was president.

“The last time, the pact caused political problems that were linked to financial support,” he said.
