Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, will see 350 new hotel rooms in 2014, said the president of Honduras's tourism chamber, Epaminondas Marinakis.
Holiday Inn Express, Hyatt Place and La Quinta Inn are among the firms with plans to invest in the city.
The aim is to make Tegucigalpa an attractive destination for business and conference tourism, currently dominated in the country by the city of San Pedro Sula.
