Honduran migrants send home $2.3 billion

Hondurans who live and work abroad have sent $2.3 billion to their families back home so far this year.

That sum represents a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent. Remittances represent 18 percent of the Honduran economy, El Heraldo reports in Spanish.
