Honduran shrimp industry surges and exports boom

The Honduran shrimp industry increased by 27.7 per cent the volume of shrimp exported until last September 30, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The nation’s aquaculture sector aims to increase its production by 10 million pounds this year (20 per cent), an increase that would imply an additional $40 million in export currency, depending on international prices.
