Honduras advised by Fund to devalue the lempira

The International Monetary Fund has advised Honduras to devalue its currency, the lempira, following a review of the government’s economic policies.
The review will open the door to a new accord between the Fund and the government of Porfirio Lobo.
According to the report, The Fund’s directors advised growing flexibility in exchange-rate policy.
