Thursday, July 1, 2010
By planning to develop more renewable projects, Honduras could take a competitive edge on energy in Central America.
The state energy company, ENEE, already has 47 renewable projects for a total of 606 megawatts. Over the coming seven years, investment in the projects is expected to reach $2 billion.
Energy created by conventional sources is expected to be reduced over the period to about 21 percent of the total.
