Coffee exports from Honduras, Central America's top producer, fell 25 percent in August compared to the same month last year, while shipments from the region's No. 2 grower Guatemala rose slightly.
Costa Rica, another regional producer, saw exports fall in August as well.
Central America’s high-quality arabica beans are trading at their highest prices in four months due to tight global supplies.
