Honduras and Peru free trade talks stall

Monday, November 24, 2014

Honduras and Peru failed to advance in their free trade agreement talks, the Honduran delegation said.

Disagreements regarding market access and origin were the causes for the talks to stall, said Lidabel Almendárez, trade policy manager at Honduras's private company council.

As a result, the Peruvian side decided to pause the process in order to discuss the issues with its authorities and decide on a future date to continue negotiations.
