Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández announced the next steps towards the configuration of the first Zone for Employment and Economic Development, ZEDE, in the country.

The first and leading options named for implementation, under assessment, are five municipalities in the small, southern department of Valle, as well as the department of Choluteca.

According to Cabinet Secretary Ebal Díaz, South Korean company Posco Plantec will start a feasibility study to determine and confirm whether the south of the country will be suitable for the first ZEDE.
