Honduras boosta melon exports to Asia

Honduran melon exports have grown significantly and they will continue to increase more now that the fruit will leave the country through the Gulf of Fonseca, as it will allow them to be more competitive.

This represents an important precedent in the positioning of Honduran products in the international market and opens up other major Asian markets, such as Taiwan and South Korea. From last May, Honduras started exporting melons to Japan, one of the most demanding markets in Asia, which certifies the country as an exporter of melons.
