Honduras creates a fund to rebuild infrastructure damaged by the storms. President Lobo Sosa thanks foreign aid donors

The Honduran president, Porfirio Lobo Sosa, announced the creation of a $25 million fund to aid the reconstruction of infrastructure that was damaged by rains that have drenched the nation.

The money will be managed by local banks Atlántida, Occidente and Ficohsa, the president said.

Lobo Sosa thanked donations from, among others, Japan, Unesco, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United States.
