Honduras exports seen stagnant this year
Thursday, August 21, 2014
Honduras's exports of agricultural products this year are expected to maintain the same levels of volume and earnings from last year, said Medardo Galindo, president of the country's agricultural exporters' federation.
The forecast comes despite some products entering new markets such as Asia, as is the case with melon and watermelon.
Galindo added that the country's shrimp exports face a similar situation, and any growth forecast for that product will be minimal.
