Honduras heads for $1.3 billion in coffee exports

Honduras could export up to 6 million quintals of coffee for the 2011-2012 harvest, according to the Honduran Coffee Institute, Ihcafé.

The exports could generate $1.3 billion, compared to the $1.2 billion generated from the previous harvest.

Ihcafé will also build eight hospitals in the coffee growing regions to benefit growers and their families.
