Honduras hopes Obama visit will bring more US investment to Central America

Central American countries hope to benefit from more US investment following this week's visit by Barack Obama, the Honduran Council of Private Companies said.

"It is time for the region to be seen not from an option based on political suitability, but from an economic perspective, as a bridge to the US investment," the council said. The Honduran businessmen remain confident that Obama's visit to El Salvador will help generate employment and increase Central American exports.
