Honduras hosts Inter-American Tourism Congress
Nelly Jerez, the Honduran tourism minister, met with Organization of American States Assistant Secretary General Albert Ramdin to discuss the "growing importance” of tourism for economies Central America and the Caribbean.
Jerez reiterated Honduras' commitment to host the 21st Inter-American Congress of Ministers and High-Level Tourism Authorities, scheduled to take place in 2013.
Ramdin called on authorities within the tourism sector and business leaders in Central America to participate in the next regional congress on tourism planned for September 11-13 in Quito.
