Honduras: remittances grow 8 percent

Remittances to Honduras reached $1.68 billion in the first half of the year, the country's central bank said.
The figure represents a growth of 8 percent compared with the same period last year.
Honduran authorities expect $3.2 billion in remittances for the whole year, boosted by a proposal to increase the minimum wage in the United States, the country's main source of remittances.
