Honduras remittances hit $1.2 billion

Family remittances in Honduras in the first quarter reached $1.18 billion, with an increase of 10.1 percent compared with the same period of last year, the central bank reported.

The positive trend is seen as being related to the strength of the labor market in the United States, where most Honduran emigrants are based, La Tribuna reports in Spanish.
