Honduras's coffee exports plunge 32.8 percent

Honduras's coffee exports reached $218.1 million during the first five months of the 2013-2014 harvest.

The figure represents a 32.8 percent drop compared to the same period of the previous harvest, the country's coffee institute Ihcafe said.

In terms of volume, Honduras exported 1.8 million quintals, 45-kilo bags, compared with 2.2 million in the first five months of the 2012-2013 harvest.
