Honduras's mining attracts global firms

Honduras's mining sector is attracting Chinese interest, due to the presence of Chinese teams currently carrying out feasibility studies, said the president of the country's mining association, Santos Gabino Carvajal.

Other countries interested in the sector include South Korea, Japan, Italy and the United States, he added.

But, Carvajal warned that planned new taxes could delay investment projects in the country.
