Honduras sees 10 new metal mines this year

The Honduran mining industry is forecasting 10 new metal mining projects to start operating this year, according to the country's national metal mining association.
Mining exports generated $232 million last year, accounting for almost 7 percent of the country's total exports.
Among the regions where the new operations are expected to operate are Olancho, Santa Barbara, El Paraíso and Choluteca.
