Honduras sees increased exports to Europe

Honduras expects to increase its short-term exports to Europe by $800 million, said the country's Trade Minister, Adonis Lavaire.

"In five years we could be reaching $2 billion," he said, referring to the recent association accord between Central America and Europe.

Honduras already has a positive trade relation with Europe. In 2012, the country imported some $488 million, according to the Central American Economic Integration System.
