Honduras special zones to draw $400 million

The special economic zones, called Zedes, that Honduras plans to launch at the end of November, are expected to draw $400 million of foreign investment this year, said the Secretary for Economic Development.

Las zonas especiales de desarrollo, conocidas como Zedes, aumentarán en $400 millones la inversión extranjera directa en Honduras, según el titular de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (SDE), Arnaldo Castillo. Arnaldo Castillo.

The aim is to provide fiscal incentives in the zones for tourism, housing and agro-industry.
