Honduras sugar industry among best in region

Honduras's sugar sector is now number two in Central America in terms of industrial efficiency, according to the country's sugar association.

The country will soon become the first country in the region to implement a crop spraying system for its sugar cane crops using unmanned aircraft.

In the first half of the year, Honduras's agriculture sector grew 3.1 percent compared with the same period last year, boosted mainly by sugar cane and African palm, the country's central bank said.
