Honduras to debut in European sugar market

Honduras will send its first cargo of 13,100 tons of sugar to Europe next week, under the association agreement between the European Union and Central America.

"It's the first time Honduran sugar enters the European market," said Carlos Melara, director of the country's sugar producers' association.

The complete cargo was bought by the United Kingdom.
