Honduras to end the year with 3 percent growth in tourism. Spain and Italy are the principal European markets

Honduras aims to close 2011 with 3 percent growth in the number of tourist arrivals, with Spain and Italy as the main markets, said the deputy Tourism minister, Syntia Bennett Solomon.

During the world economic crisis, Honduras managed to achieve a small increase in the number of tourists, Bennett Solomon said at the World Travel Market in London.

Europe so far has sent some 90,000 tourists to Honduras, but that is only a small beginning, she added.
