Honduras tops list for growth in the number of Italian tourists to Central America

Honduras is the preferred holiday destination for Italians visiting Central America, according to the World Tourism Organization.

The number of Italian tourists who visited Central America increased 7 percent in 2010, compared to 2009.

As for the other countries in the region, Panama grew 18 percent, Guatemala 15.2 percent, Nicaragua 9.7 percent, Costa Rica showed no growth and El Salvador decreased 12 percent.
