The trade deficit of Honduras reached $6.1 billion lat year, according to the latest Central bank report.
At the end of last year, imports came to $10.49 billion, compared with $4.37 billion in exports, according to the report.
The fall in price of coffee, of which Honduras is Central America's leading exporter, and the average increase in international fuel prices, were the principal factors that increased the dimensions of the trade gap, La Tribuna reports in Spanish.
