Honduras urged to lower region's highest taxes

Honduras has the highest taxes in Central America, according to Roque Rivera, president of the Honduran bankers' association, Ahiba.

Rivera says the government should concentrate more on curbing public spending rather than raising more taxes.

In addition, he suggests the government should issue some $325 million bonds inn order to finance spending on public works.
