Hotel occupancy declined last year in Costa Rica

The total occupancy of hotels in Costa Rica last year was lower than it was in 2011.

According to the survey conducted annually by the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels, 2011 showed a 55 percent occupancy rate, while the number fell to 54.1 percent in 2012.

Hotels with the lower occupancy were in the South Pacific zone, with 50% percent occupancy.
