Hugo Chávez mourned in Nicaragua

Sandinista government spokeswoman Rosario Murillo expressed her condolences for the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, but said his spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the youth and revolutionary movements around the Americas and the world.

Murillo, who is also Nicaragua's first lady, called Chávez “one of the dead who never dies.”

President Daniel Ortega received more than $2.5 billion in Venezuelan largess from Chávez over the past six years.
