ICA lands contract for Panama City turnpike

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Mexican constructor ICA will continue to operate Panama City’s Corredor Sur urban turnpike until the government invites a tender for a company to take charge of it and the Corredor Norte.

The government reached an accord with Pycsa, also of Mexico, that held the concession of the Corredor Norte, and ICA, to acquire them both for a total of $1.07 billion.

ICA also showed interest in the tender for a 60-hectare fill-in that the government is hoping to complete for the extension of the two turnpikes.
