IDB $88 million solar project in El Salvador

The Inter-American Development Bank will provide some $88 million in loans to a 100 megawatts solar project, which could be the first large utility-scale solar plant in the country.
Driven by a need to mitigate the high cost of imported fossil fuels and excellent natural potential, Central America has become a hot market for utility-scale solar and wind projects.
