IMF insists on raising the retirement age in Nicaragua

The International Monetary Fund mission has suggested, at a meeting with government and central bank representatives, that the requirement age should be raised as a means of improving the finances of the nation's social security system.
However, Bayardo Arce, the presidential adviser to the presidency on economic affairs, said that an increase is out of the question. The current retirement age in Nicaragua is 60.
