Industry sector to boost customs security

Central American and Dominican Republic industrial representatives agreed to implement a plan aimed at increasing security in the region's customs offices.

The aim is to tackle customs fraud, contraband and forgery.

The plan also seeks to tackle those issues but without affecting trade or increasing costs for exporters and importers.
