Tuesday, August 29, 2017

Inflation continues to fall in Colombia as the year-over-year rate in July came in at 3.4 percent to hit a low not seen since 2014. According to figures released this weekend by the National Administrative Department of Statistics, inflation is now well back within the central bank’s target range of between 2 and 4 percent.

The July rate is a decrease from the 3.99 percent seen in June and represents the 12th straight month that inflation has fallen in Colombia since it hit a 16-year high of 8.97 percent in July of last year.
