Wednesday, September 14, 2011

The central bank of Honduras revealed that the consumer price index from January through August grew by 5.2 percent, up from 4 percent over the same period of last year.

For the year as a whole, inflation is expected to reach 8 to 8.5 percent.

Increases in world oil prices have made a severe impact on the production costs of the goods and services that form the basket of basic consumer goods in Honduras.
